We can now confirm that, as previously announced, Blackboard will be unavailable during the period between 10 pm on Sunday 14 October and 9 am on Monday 15 October. This downtime is to allow us to perform an update that will, among other things, make it possible for students to download annotated copies of their marked assignments. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Turnitin service issues, 17 September 2018
Turnitin have reported that some users may currently be unable to submit larger files, as well as experiencing slow submission and reporting times. The system is working through a backlog of submissions. You can stay up-to-date with Turnitin system status by following @TurnitinStatus on Twitter.
Turnitin maintenance, Saturday 22 Sept 4 pm – 12.30 am
On Saturday 22 September, between 4 pm and 12.30 am the following morning, Turnitin will be performing some proactive emergency maintenance. Turnitin access issues resolved, 29 August, 9.46 am
Turnitin have reported that they have resolved the networking issue that was causing intermittent access, and that their services should be available again now.

Turnitin have reported that they are currently experiencing connectivity issues. They are working on resolving these, but until they do, we will experience intermittent availability of the Turnitin service. Blackboard upgrade completed, 23 July 9.30 am
The Blackboard upgrade has been completed ahead of schedule, and Blackboard is available again now. The Digital Education Office has tested all key functionality, and is continuing with further in-depth testing. If you come across anything that isn’t behaving as you expect it to, please email digital-education@bristol.ac.uk.

Blackboard upgrade, 7 pm Sunday 22 July – 12 noon Monday 23 July
As a final reminder, the Blackboard upgrade will take place between 7 pm on Sunday 22 July and midday on Monday 23 July. Blackboard will be unavailable during this time, so please do not schedule any activities requiring Blackboard during that period.
New Blackboard courses for 2018-19 units and programmes will become available to staff between 2 and 8 August.

MyBristol unavailable on Thursday 12th July, 8 am to noon
IT Services have announced that, due to essential security patching of servers, MyBristol will be unavailable between 8 am and midday on Thursday 12th July. This means that staff and students will be unable to access Blackboard via MyBristol, but can still access it directly at https://www.ole.bris.ac.uk during this time.

Blackboard maintenance, Thursday 28 June 11 pm – Friday 29 June 5 am
Blackboard will be performing server maintenance between 11 pm on Thursday 28 June and 5 am on Friday 29 June. During this maintenance window there will be a short period of downtime, which Blackboard will endeavour to keep as brief as possible. Please be aware of this and plan your Blackboard activities accordingly.
Questionmark Perception Terminal Server maintenance, Wednesday 20 June, 8 am – 9 am
The Questionmark Perception Terminal Server needs to taken down briefly to have security updates applied to it. This work has been scheduled for Wednesday 20 June between 8 am and 9 am, although the actual downtime will only last for about ten minutes, at around 8.30 am. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this causes.
