[Closed] Turnitin service incident, 9 August

Turnitin has informed us that the Feedback Studio is currently experiencing an unexpected service incident.

During this time, users may intermittently find that Similarity Reports are stuck processing or encounter issues when attempting to download a copy of a Similarity Report and/or digital receipt.

New feature: Blackboard Assignments can use SafeAssign similarity tool

We are pleased to announce that SafeAssign, Blackboard’s originality checking tool, is now available for use in all courses using Blackboard Assignments.

The Digital Education Office has provided guidance on enabling this tool within Blackboard Assignments, which can be accessed as part of our supplementary resources for staff.

[Resolved] Turnitin delay in similarity report generation

Turnitin have now informed us that the issue causing a delay in Similarity Report generation has been resolved.

Starting at 6:49 AM today, an unexpected service incident occurred in Turnitin Feedback Studio, causing a delay in the generation of similarity reports. The impact of this issue was limited and most Turnitin users were unaffected.
