Turnitin scheduled maintenance now completed: 4th January
Turnitin’s scheduled maintenance was completed on the 4th January. All services are now back to normal. They have advised you may need to restart your browser and in some cases, clear your browser’s cache before accessing Turnitin.

Re/Play scheduled maintenance – January 4th 12:00 – 4:00 AM.
The Re/play supplier will be undertaking scheduled maintenance between 12:00 and 4:00 AM on the 4th January during this time there will be disruption to the service and access will be intermittent.

Digital Education Office support over the Christmas period
- The University is closed for Christmas from 5pm on Monday 23rd December, and re-opens on Friday 3rd January 2020
- The Digital Education Office (DEO) team will be unavailable on the afternoon of Friday 20th December due to a divisional Christmas celebration
- There will be a limited DEO Helpdesk service on Monday 23rd December
If you have a query for the DEO during the Christmas period please email digital-education@bristol.ac.uk and we will respond as soon as possible. If you have an urgent IT problem (eg a service is unavailable) please contact the IT Service Desk on 0117 4282100 (internal 82100).
Turnitin services unavailable: 4th January
Turnitin have advised us that their services will be unavailable on the 4th January 2020 from 4pm – 10pm due to scheduled maintenance. Users will be unable to submit and grade during this window.

Blackboard Mobile App Planned Maintenance/Outage 17th December 3:30 AM
Blackboard will be performing essential maintenance on the mobile app from 3:30AM on 17th December. The Blackboard app will be unavailable for around 5 hours during the maintenance; please access Blackboard using a web browser during this time.

Winter workshops and webinars from the Digital Education Office
Places are available on Digital Education workshops and webinars before and after Christmas, including introductions to Blackboard, creating and managing online tests, and advanced use of the Grade Centre, as well as talks from AbilityNet on digital accessibility.
Bulk upload of feedback for group assignments – issue fixed
This message is for staff marking group assignments using EMA workflow B1 (the marks and feedback batch upload tool in Blackboard). Group assignments are where one student submits on behalf of a group.
An issue was recently identified as potentially affecting a small number of courses with group assignments due to have feedback bulk uploaded.
We are pleased to say that this has been fixed by Blackboard.
Feedback for group assignments can now be bulk uploaded as normal using EMA workflow B1.

Turnitin issue resolved: 5th December 2.30pm
Turnitin had reported they were experiencing issues with viewing similarity reports. This issue is now resolved, and all services are reported to be back to normal.
